Penanganan Gempa Berjalan Cepat, Presiden SBY Puas

Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) mengaku puas atas reaksi instansi-instansi terkait dalam menangani gempa di Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam dan beberapa daerah di Sumatera pada Rabu (7/4) pukul 05.15 WIB. Menurut Presiden, sistem reaksi cepat penanggulangan bencana telah berjalan dengan baik.

"Saya juga senang bahwa sistem telah berjalan karena begitu diterima gempa, satuan reaksi cepat penanggulangan bencana siap di Halim," kata Presiden di Bandara Halim Perdanakusuma, Rabu (7/4). Presiden menyampaikan hal itu sebelum bertolak menuju Hanoi, Vietnam untuk menghadiri KTT ASEAN hingga Sabtu (10/4).

Presiden mengatakan, dirinya langsung berkomunikasi Ketua Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB), Gubernur NAD, dan Gubernur Sumatera Utara. Melalui komunikasi itu, Presiden mendapat informasi bahwa kerusakan yang ditimbulkan tergolong ringan dan pemadaman listrik sudah berakhir. Presiden mengucapkan terima kasih atas kerja sigap instansi terkait.

Dalam kesempatan sama, Menteri Sosial, Salim Segaf Aljufri, mengatakan, dampak dari gempa di Aceh itu tergolong ringan, tidak banyak bangunan yang rusak berat. "Luka berat empat orang, seluruhnya 12 orang yang dirawat di rumah sakit," kata mantan Dubes RI di Arab Saudi ini.

Salim mengatakan, gempa itu juga masih bisa ditangani oleh pemerintah daerah. Alasannya, stok bantuan bahan pangan di daerah masih mencukupi, khususnya beras dan lauk pauk. "Buffer stock kita di provinsi cukup, beras ada 50 ton," ujar Salim. Penyaluran bantuan pun belum ada kendala berarti.
